The Estonian Agricultural Museum

Organisation description

The Estonian Agricultural Museum was established in 1968. In 1981, the museum

opened first permanent exhibition “Grain Growing in Estonia”. Last exposition in museum was opened in year 2010. 

At the moment museum is planning the new concept where the focus will be more on the present and future, including such topics as ecological footprint, circular economics and role of agriculture in nature cycles. 

Since the year 2017 Estonian Agricultural Museum along with Farm Museum of C.R.Jakobson and Tori Stud Farm is part of Estonian Rural Museums Foundation.Besides exhibitions Estonian Agricultural Museum also provides different educational programs and events: The museum organizes exhibition fairs, family days, concerts, receptions for young couples and events reminiscent of Estonian history and traditional rituals and games: you can bake a bread, pluck and process flax, learn about bees and meet our farm animals etc.
